The first all-day session will introduce experiential learning models using videos, lecture, short activities, and discussion about Marco’s experiences, the DuPage program – their courses, the theory base, how they built and maintain it – and issues in experiential education.

After lunch, participants will experience a short “field” experience on campus followed by work in faculty groups and teams to open up their own curriculum and explore ideas for building in experiential learning.

The OPTIONAL add-on day will involve a hiking trip and travel to local hiking area to demonstrate a full day’s field experience as a model for implementation in a range of fields. Must attend the first all-day session to participate in this activity. Register for Optional Add-On Day (Hiking Trip)

This activity is approved for 6.0 hours toward a Professional Growth Increment by Salary and Leaves.
