Theme: Teaching with Technology

Does your amazing presentation content or message lose impact because your slides are mind-numbingly tiresome or just pathetically ugly? Or do you want to learn ways to bump up your slides to the next level? Come to learn about a free resource with attractive templates for PowerPoint and Google Slides. The workshop will cover a few general principles, resources, and tips for creating attractive presentations. In the hands-on portion, you’ll have time to explore templates, select and use one, and practice a few techniques to customize your slides.

Outcomes:

1. Faculty will discuss best practices of slide design for instructional and professional presentations.
2. Faculty will explore resources to identify attractive and customizable free templates and images to create PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations.
3. Faculty will practice using and altering a free template while applying principles of effective slide design.
