Theme: One Book, One Campus

Mt. SAC’s One Book, One Campus proudly presents Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh.  Join us as we take a closer look at the book, its themes, and how depression impacts our campus.  We will continue the discussion from our Keynote Speaker, focusing on the book’s connection with students, faculty, and staff.  Discussions will include how to engage students across the campus by using this book, how planned events will connect to the entire campus, and how to integrate curriculum for this book in the classroom.

Outcomes:

1. Faculty and staff will become aware of the One Book, One Campus program and why Hyperbole and a Half was chosen as the first book for this initiative.
2. Faculty and staff will begin thinking about depression from new points of view, including how it impacts students, faculty, and staff.
3. Faculty will begin developing curriculum in connection with the book.
