Theme: Guided Pathways

The California Community College’s Guided Pathways framework identifies three key elements related to student learning outcomes assessment—Aligned Learning Outcomes, Assessing and Documenting Student Learning, and Applied Learning Opportunities.  The Outcomes Committee seeks faculty input to explore our strengths and weaknesses in fulfilling these key elements.  We began this dialogue with the college’s guided pathways leaders in a recent SLO Summit.  We are ready to discuss and plan with faculty in all areas, including classroom, student support, and learning support.  Let’s use SLO dialogue across disciplines and units to create pathways that meet our students’ comprehensive learning needs.

Outcomes:

1. Faculty will discuss the role of outcomes assessment in the Guided Pathways to Success (GPS) framework.
2. Faculty will identify methods to assess outcomes under the GPS framework.
