We all know and understand the importance of mentoring to students – especially students in our equity populations. Monthly Mentoring Meetings are providing more systemized assistance and mentoring to students in a supportive framework. Mt. SAC has held its Mentor meetings for two years now, and we constantly have 150 students and 25 mentors (faculty, administrators, and staff) every month.

Come learn about our Monthly Mentor meetings and how you can help in leading guided discussions with students on topics ranging from time management, communication skills, money management, stress management, career planning. There is no on-going commitment to this structured format and you are not paired-up with students for ongoing mentorship.

The presenters will lead participants in an exercise that simulates the students’ experience and talk about how you can get involved.
